Book Repair

First Edition Leaves of Grass. The cover was free (detached) and the text block was in poor condition. 

The sewing was broken and there were numerous tears and voids.

An old library pocket and date slip were pasted inside the back and needed to be removed.

The book was repaired and is now housed in a custom-made clamshell box with a bone folder close at hand to safely turn pages.
